What impact does the October revolution have on the situation of today is anybody’s guess.
The ideology behind the Revolution might be superior but it does hamstring the ability of a society to produce more and to be more profitable. It poisons the mindset and attitude of people against work. Of late we have been seeing more strikes and lockouts in very well managed manufacturing firms. One might say that if they were so well managed how come they have strikes? Good point.
Strange, but, one has to note that certain geographical locations rule themselves out as options for setting up large scale manufacturing units – because of the legacy labour issues. Some states come to mind. Why? Inspite of knowing the importance of industry for the economic growth of the society , why such attitudes are still entertained. Perhaps that is why its termed as legacy problems.
Many questions come up. i guess this is too deep an issue and beyond my bandwidth.
