Its not what we say

Its not what we say that matters, it is what we do.

Check this Post from Seth Godin about the differences that crop up between what we say and what we do. He gives a small list of the divergences that exist in a few of our day to day actions.

To this list I would like to add one from my own experience as a Head Hunter

Candidates say that salary is secondary it is the job responsibility that counts, but they finally take up the job with the highest offered salary.

Irrespective of what any Job Change Survey might indicate – the fundamental reason for change remains – salary. The highest bidder fills the position.
