Pay Peanuts Get Monkeys

Had a chat with one of our new clients. A small manufacturing firm in the engineering components sector has  been in the lookout for quality candidates from sometime.

The owners complaint is that the candidates are fake. They don’t know anything because of which the company is losing money heavily.

Bad people = bad products and bad service.

But why pay and get bad people.People who cant deliver. Well their salaries are around 50% of the going market rate for salaries at that level. And my guess is that – the problem doesn’t end there. The company expects a turnaround from bottom up.

If the products are not upto the levels of quality required the Quality Manager is just one cog in the wheel. Are all other systems in place to support him such that the required quality is delivered?
